Ginger tea is fine in pregnancy and is even suggested by the NHS as a remedy for morning sickness — keep within 4 cups of herbal tea a day.
Why is ginger tea a concern in pregnancy?
There is limited research on the effects of many herbal ingredients in pregnancy, so the NHS takes a precautionary approach: herbal and green teas are fine in moderation, but you should drink no more than 4 cups a day, and vary the types you drink. If you're unsure about a specific herbal ingredient, check with your midwife or pharmacist.

The exception
Avoid teas marketed for inducing labour (and only use raspberry leaf tea from late pregnancy, after discussing it with your midwife). Green tea also contains caffeine, which counts towards your 200mg daily limit.
